This was a fun book, I listened to, like I have listened to all the Miss Fortune books。 Looking forward to the next one。
Katherine,
Another fun episode in this seriesLots of twists and turns in this one。 And, of course you have to have an explosion with Gertie involved。

Love them allI love all the Miss Fortune books。 I have them in print and audio。 When I can not stand to read or listen to another book (because other books tend to get on my nerves), I always turn to the Miss Fortune books。 They make me laugh and they calm me down。
Pam,
One of my favorite Miss Fortune books。 Love Harrison and his fiancé。 What better for the private detectives than a haunted house。 Soo good
Melinda,
Love this new story line with Harrison and his fiance。
Maryly Skallos,
Fast and FunThis story contains lots of twists and turns。。。both figuratively and literally。 Imagine old players moving closer with new players providing a final twist。 What more could a reader want?
Merrily Boone,
Another great readIda Mae , Gertie, and Fortune team up again to provide an exciting and complex mystery。 The addition of Harrison as a more permanent character is sure to add to the series。
Deidre Hasenbalg,
another great fortune book!Loved it! Kept me on my toes and Jana always surprises me in her books。 The ending definitely surprised me。 Can’t wait for the next one !
Susan Ward,
What happened to the fun in this seriesI was a bit disappointed with this book, the authors signature humour for this series seemed to be missing。 Other than that it was a good read
Patricia Acquavella,
easy reading I enjoy this series, it’s fun, quirky and so distracting from the worries of every day life。 Read, laugh, enjoy!
A Brewer,
Great bookGood book。 But no Celia or Banana pudding race。Didn't even make it to Francines。 Loved that Harrison made an appearance。 Great bookGood book。 But no Celia or Banana pudding race。Didn't even make it to Francines。 Loved that Harrison made an appearance。 。。。more
Janet McDaniel,
Swamp spirits is my favorite Miss Fortune mystery。 Everyone but Celia was involved in this mystery。Several laugh out loud moments。
Linda Pennington,
Swap SpiritsFortune,Ida Bell, and Gertie are at it again。 Fortune’s ex partner and his girl buy a run down castle that is haunted。 That is if you believe in that sort of thing。 Of course Fortune does not and the group begins to investigate the ghost。 Jana makes everything funny and sad at the same time。 This is a really good story。
Eden,
2022 bk 314。 What could be more perfect for reading in the month of October (it was published several months ago, but I held onto it for now)。 Fortune's former partner and his spouse have moved to Sinful, well half way between Sinful and Mudbug, and purchased a home with a reputation。 Yep - a haunted house, thing is, former CIA agents don't seem to believe in ghosts and Fortune and her crew of seniors go into action to find out who and why behind the nightly visitors。 I have to admit - I didn't 2022 bk 314。 What could be more perfect for reading in the month of October (it was published several months ago, but I held onto it for now)。 Fortune's former partner and his spouse have moved to Sinful, well half way between Sinful and Mudbug, and purchased a home with a reputation。 Yep - a haunted house, thing is, former CIA agents don't seem to believe in ghosts and Fortune and her crew of seniors go into action to find out who and why behind the nightly visitors。 I have to admit - I didn't totally see the end coming on this one and enjoyed my befuddlement totally! Another great adventure with Fortune, Ida Belle, and GertieAnother 5 star。 I will never tire of this series。 I can't wait for this to come out on Audible。 Would love to see Marrow as the next sheriff with Carter and Harrison as his deputies。 I have listened to the series 4 times and still find the books just as funny as the first time i read them。 Another great adventure with Fortune, Ida Belle, and GertieAnother 5 star。 I will never tire of this series。 I can't wait for this to come out on Audible。 Would love to see Marrow as the next sheriff with Carter and Harrison as his deputies。 I have listened to the series 4 times and still find the books just as funny as the first time i read them。 。。。more

God bless DeLeon… and Fortune。 I read maybe 10-15 different authors regularly, always in a first-in first-out basis (my Kindle library); Reacher, Milton, Horvath, Pike Logan, Zeb Carter, Mitch Rapp, Harry Bosch, etc。 But every time I hit the next Fortune book, I take deep breath and dive in as they’re a different vibe: Jana has a great set of characters and always a good plot; I love it all takes place locally vs。 the broader geographical (and political) landscapes of the other authors (except m God bless DeLeon… and Fortune。 I read maybe 10-15 different authors regularly, always in a first-in first-out basis (my Kindle library); Reacher, Milton, Horvath, Pike Logan, Zeb Carter, Mitch Rapp, Harry Bosch, etc。 But every time I hit the next Fortune book, I take deep breath and dive in as they’re a different vibe: Jana has a great set of characters and always a good plot; I love it all takes place locally vs。 the broader geographical (and political) landscapes of the other authors (except maybe Conneley’s Bosch)。 Anyway, can’t wait for the next one !! 。。。more
Mindy,
Book #23 in the series and it did not disappoint。 I love that you can read these in random order, but by reading them in order you see the growth of the characters and their deepening relationships。 Gertie never lets you down for laugh out loud antics! That purse of hers, a weapon of mass destruction all on its own! Add in the stripper pole and the laughs just keep coming! This series never fails to entertain。 I love the characters, the plots, the mystery and the bayou setting。 Everything about these books works for me。 With each new edition I hang a "Do Not Disturb" sign and settle in for another wonderful ride with Fortune, Ida Belle and Gertie。 "Swamp Spirits" is no exception, and I just loved the addition of Harrison and Cassidy to the cast of marvelous characters。 In this book it was great to see Fortune and Carter working together as opposed to Fortune and h This series never fails to entertain。 I love the characters, the plots, the mystery and the bayou setting。 Everything about these books works for me。 With each new edition I hang a "Do Not Disturb" sign and settle in for another wonderful ride with Fortune, Ida Belle and Gertie。 "Swamp Spirits" is no exception, and I just loved the addition of Harrison and Cassidy to the cast of marvelous characters。 In this book it was great to see Fortune and Carter working together as opposed to Fortune and her Team off solving the mystery without him。 This solve was a true group effort and I loved the part Ronald played。 He and Fortune have come a long way。 Fortune's former partner at the CIA, Harrison, has retired and taken a position as a floating Deputy for several small towns around Sinful。 His fiancée, Cassidy, is doing her residency at a local hospital and they have bought a big, sprawling property with a view to the future。 Life is good until they move in and find out that the property has a sordid past including ghosts, disappearances and possible murder。Cassidy sees what appears to be a ghost, takes a fall and the Swamp Team 3 is off on another adventure。 The road to the truth is a twisty one and the answer to the problems in the present are firmly rooted in the past of this creepy castle like house and the people who built it and once lived there。 Like a dog with a bone, Fortune will not give up until every mystery is solved and all the questions have an answer。 。。。more
